Selasa (1/6). Edupotensia Foundation menggelar webinar Book launching “Teori dan Praktik Konseling: Jantung Konselor Profesional” mulai dari pukul 08.00 sampai 12.00 WIB. Webinar ini mengupas buku keluaran terbaru Prof. Dr. Ahmad Juntika Nurihsan, M.Pd. dari berbagai sudut pandang teknik yang dijelaskan oleh pemateri profesional, seperti Dr.Tina H. Dahlan, S.Psi.,M.Pd.,Psikolog (Ketua Program Studi Psikologi Pendidikan SPs UPI), Dr. Ipah Saripah, M.Pd (Ketua Departemen PPB FIP UPI), Dr.Anne Hafina, M.Pd (Dosen Departemen PPB FIP UPI), Ifdil, Ph.D, Kons (Dosen BK UNP/IICET), Dr.Idat Muqodas, M.Pd (Wakil Direktur UPI Kampus Purwakarta), dan Firman RNI, M.Pd (Guru BK SMA Negeri 1 Majalengka). Webinar ini juga dimoderatori oleh Arie Rakhmat Riyadi, M.Pd (salah satu mahasiswa S3 Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia) yang memandu berjalannya acara webinar book launching sehingga menciptakan suasana acara menjadi kondusif dan berisi akan ilmu. Acara ini di hadiri oleh banyak peserta, hampir seluruh Indonesia mulai dari Aceh sampai NTT.

Arie mengatakan bahwa teori tanpa praktik bagaikan orang lumpuh sedangkan praktik tanpa teori bagaikan orang buta. Oleh karena itu, teori dan praktik harus sejalan. Teori bisa melandasi praktik dan praktik bisa menginspirasi teori.

“Teori tanpa praktik adalah hanya bagi kaum cendikiawan murni sedangkan praktik tanpa teori hanya terdapat pada orang-orang gila. Nah jadi kita akan belajar melalui buku teori dan praktik konseling ini supaya tidak menjadi orang gila dan tidak hanya pandai teori saja tetapi  bisa di kombinasikan dan dihubungkan antara teori dan praktik dengan harmonis”ucapnya dalam membuka acara webinar ini. Kemudian Arie mempersilahkan kepada pemateri untuk menyajikan materinya masing-masing dengan waktu 15 menit.

Suasana acara ini begitu kondusif dan berisi akan ilmu dari para pemateri profesional dengan berbagai sudut pandang mereka, seperti dari sudut pandang psikologi yang disampaikan oleh Dr. Tina H. Dahlan, S.Psi.,M.Pd.,Psikolog dalam PPT nya.

Dalam konteks konseling, suatu teori perlu secara akurat mendeskripsikan, menjelaskan, dan memprediksi berbagai perilaku konselor dan konseli. Suatu teori menjelaskan dengan jelas apa yang menyebabkan masalah konseli dan menawarkan ide atau strategi khusus untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Teori membantu konselor memprediksi respons konseli terhadap berbagai teknik konseling sehingga membantu konselor mengetahui teknik apa yang digunakan. Berapa lama konseling biasanya akan bertahan dan bagaimana teknik tertentu kemungkinan besar akan mempengaruhi konseli tertentu.

“Kalau konselor tidak memiliki teori, maka konselor itu akan menjadi makhluk yang rentan tanpa petunjuk. Sehingga saya melihat banyak orang-orang yang tergelincir dengan curhat biasa atau dengan terlalu banyak memberikan nasehat, sedangkan kita tahu bahwa konseling itu ujungnya adalah self help (bantu diri)” ungkapnya

Penjelasan dari para pemateri dalam acara webinar mengatakan bahwa buku ini adalah buku yang sangat bagus dan perlu diterjemahkan ke bahasa inggris dan bahasa PBB karena Prof. Dr. Ahmad Juntika Nurihsan, M.Pd ini adalah orang yang menduduki urutan 2 dunia dalam dunia konseling dengan rujukan 12.484 dan indeks-h (indeks-i10), beliau juga termasuk peneliti terbaik. Karyanya ini akan memberikan kontribusi dampak terhadap akademisi dunia.
