KERJASAMA ITB DENGAN NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY DAN GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH LAB DALAM MEMPERKENALKAN SGDs PADA BERBAGAI DISIPLIN ILMU

Program STREAM 2022 : Summer Class SDGs yang diselenggarakan oleh Institut Teknologi Bandung gedung CIBE selama tiga minggu pada tanggal 6 Juli-21 Juli 2022 secara hybrid online dan offline. Acara ini merupakan kolaborasi dari Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Teknik Lingkungan ITB dengan Northern Illinois University dan Global Environmental Health LAB Amerika Serikat yang dikepalai oleh Prof. Tomoyuki Shibata, Ph.D. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya diisi oleh Prof. Tomoyuki Shibata, tetapi juga diisi oleh dosen-dosen seluruh Indonesia, ibu Dr. Tina Hayati Dahlan, M.Pd., Psikolog. Turut berpartisipasi dalam menyampaikan materi mengenai “Individual and behavioral determinants of health (from psychological perspective) – mindfulness”. Memperkenalkan materi mengenai mindfulnes dan kesehatan mental.

Prof. Tomoyuki Shibata, Ph.D., dan empat mahasiswa dari Amerika Serikat menghadiri langsung acara ini. Acara ini dihadiri oleh peserta dari beberapa Universitas yaitu Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA), Universitas Padjajaran (UNPAD), UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung dengan berbagai disiplin ilmu yaitu, teknik lingkungan, kedokteran, sosiologi, dan psikologi dan semua mahasiswa berbagai tingkat dapat mengikuti kegiatan ini. Kegiatan ini memperkenalkan SDGs kepanjangan dari Sustainable Development Goals yaitu sebuah tujuan dari pembangunan berkelanjutan yang memiliki 17 tujuan dengan 169 capaian yang terukur yang merupakan agenda PBB untuk dunia pembangunan untuk keselamatan dunia pembangunan untuk keselamatan manusia dan planet bumi.

Tidak hanya memperkenalkan SDGs pada mahasiswa berbagai multidisiplin ilmu, tetapi memperkenalkan dan menerapkan metode penelitian kuantitatif yang dimana mahasiswa baik luring maupun daring dibagi kedalam empat kelompok yang berisikan enam anggota mahasiswa secara acak dengan tujuan untuk saling mengenal, memahami, satu sama lain dan mempelajari berbagai perspektif multidisiplin ilmu. Kemudian kelompok tersebut harus melakukan penelitian dengan cara menyebarkan angket yang sudah dirancang oleh tim Prof. Tomoyuki Shibata, Ph.D. dan mempresentasikan didepan kelas. Kegiatan ini memberikan pengalaman yang berharga bagi mahasiwa yang berminat menggunakan metode kuantitatif.

The focus on collaboration and interdisciplinary work was really inspiring. Highlighting the importance of teamwork and systems thinking is very important as we work towards a better future. The survey development process and preliminary analysis created interesting discussions and brought up things I had not previously considered.
