MAKRAB Mahasiswa Baru Angkatan 2020 di Masa Pandemi

Makrab 1

Senin, 7 September 2020, Program Studi Psikologi Pendidikan Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia menyelenggarakan kegiatan perkenalan serta diskusi santai antara mahasiswa baru angkatan 2020 dengan Dr.Tina Hayati Dahlan, S.Psi., M.Pd., Psikolog selaku Ketua Program Studi Psikologi Pendidikan SPs UPI. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan mulai pukul 15.30 hingga 17.10 yang diikuti oleh 25 mahasiswa baru angkatan 2020. Meski suasana pandemi masih belum selesai, tidak berarti menyurutkan semangat dan antusias mahasiswa baru dalam kegiatan masa-masa keakraban (MAKRAB) antar mahasiswa baru dan juga dengan Kaprodi.

Ibu Tina memulai topik pembicaran dengan sesi perkenalan para mahasiswa baru karena ada pepatah mengatakan “tak kenal maka tak sayang.” Sesi perkenalan diinsiasi oleh salah satu mahasiswa baru – Guntur Sunarko Putro – yang bersedia menjadi moderator sekaligus mengawali perkenalan dirinya kepada Kaprodi kemudian diikuti oleh mahasiswa baru lainnya. Semua mahasiswa baru memperkenalkan diri terlebih dahulu untuk saling mengetahui satu sama lain. Perkenalan dilakukan secara singkat dengan menjelaskan asal daerah, tinggal di daerah mana, dan berasal dari jurusan apa saat lulus menjadi sarjana. Walau terkesan singkat, mahasiswa baru angkatan 2020 mempunyai kesempatan mengenal lebih jauh siapa teman seperjuangannya.

Ada hal yang menarik sekaligus membuat suasana berkenalan semakin hangat, yaitu hadirnya salah satu mahasiswa asing yang berasal dari Korea Selatan yang bernama Ju Young Jae. Beliau sudah sekitar dua tahun menetap di Indonesia dan mempelajari bahasa Indonesia hanya dalam kurun waktu 2 bulan. Menurut ceritanya, Ju Young Jae mengikuti saran temannya untuk memiliki nama panggilan yang meng-‘Indonesia’ agar memudahkan penyebutan namanya, yaitu Ilyasa. Dikarenakan Kaprodi menyebut mahasiswa baru dengan diawali Akang atau Teteh, maka Ju Yong Jae pun dipanggil Akang Ilyasa dan beliau sangat menyukai panggilan tersebut. Pengalaman luar biasa bagi mahasiswa lainnya bisa berkesempatan memiliki teman satu angkatan dengan latar belakang negara yang berbeda.

Setelah semuanya selesai memperkenalkan diri, Kaprodi melanjutkan topik pembicaraannya ke payung penelitian Prodi serta anjuran kepada mahasiswa baru untuk memulai penelusuran topik penelitian tesis yang diawali dengan pencarian fenomena yang mendasari penelitian dan urgensi dari topik yang akan diteliti. Semua mahasiswa baru  memperhatikan pemaparan beliau dengan cermat, ini terbukti dari banyaknya pertanyaan-pertanyaan kritis yang diajukan oleh mahasiswa yang hadir.

Pada kegiatan ini para mahasiswa baru diinstruksikan untuk menuliskan semua fenomena-fenomena yang menarik minat untuk dijadikan sebagai topik penelitian tesis yang akan dibahas di pertemuan selanjutnya. Penjelasan yang beliau sampaikan begitu menarik sehingga memberikan banyak ilmu dan pemahaman serta membuka wawasan baru bagi seluruh mahasiswa baru angkatan 2020 yang mengikuti kegiatan MAKRAB.

Kegiatan ini meninggalkan kesan kepada mahasiswa yang hadir, diantaranya dari Lutfiatu Umam Majid yang mendapat pencerahan tentang tujuan sehubungan studinya di bidang psikologi pendidikan serta memacunya untuk lebih giat lagi dalam menggali dan mengulik fenomena yang menarik untuk diteliti yang mempunyai manfaat untuk lingkungan sosial di sekitarnya. Mahasiswa lain – Aulia Febliana Chaniago – berpendapat bahwa meskipun pertemuannya secara virtual, tetapi sangat membantu dalam memahami langkah awal untuk memulai melakukan riset-riset yang berkaitan dengan bidang psikologi pendidikan, selain itu juga kegiatan ini dinilai seru karena bisa bertemu dengan teman-teman baru dan mendapatkan esensi yang sangat tepat dari pertemuan tersebut. Anindita Nurmala Dewi sangat bersyukur bisa kenal langsung dengan Dr. Tina Hayati Dahlan, S.Psi., M.Pd., Psikolog selaku Kaprodi Psikologi Pendidikan SPs UPI yang ramah dan memperlakukan mahasiswa baru dengan cara humanis sehingga semangat belajarnya makin meningkat.

Kegiatan MAKRAB yang sarat dengan diskusi santai ini tidak terasa telah dilaksanakan melebihi waktu yang dijadwalkan sehingga dengan diselenggarakannya kegiatan yang menarik ini, para mahasiswa baru dan Kaprodi menjadi semakin akrab dan pengetahuan baru pun bertambah.

Pendidikan bukan hanya pergi ke sekolah dan mendapatkan gelar tetapi juga soal memperluas pengetahuan dan menyerap ilmu kehidupan. (Shakuntala Devi)
