On 26-29 July 2021, the Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE school program organised workshops within the scope of GEDSI (Gender Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion) for primary and junior high school students. Workshop activities for students were packaged as an opportunity to develop social, emotional learning and respectful relationships, including creating a friendly space for students with special needs. In delivering the workshop materials for the primary and junior high schools students, the Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE School Partnerships Program collaborated with the experts’ speakers and facilitators from the Department of Educational Psychology from the Indonesia University of Education (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia). This series of student GEDSI workshops was attended by 102 students (52 primary and 40 junior). One of the workshop outcomes was the increased awareness of students to develop empathy, collaborate, and invite other students to avoid and stop bullying, especially students with special needs.
