Abstract: When working in groups, individuals undergo switching processes, which constitute a continuum rather than a dichotomy. This means that a person will behave, either in the context of personal identity or social identity, in an alternating and adaptive manner, rather than choosing to live solely in personal identity or solely in social identity. Social identity offers an identity for individuals, in other words, social identity tells us who we are, ultimately giving us a sense of self. Social identity helps us develop self-esteem due to our membership in a group, as social identity makes us feel good about ourselves, indirectly increasing the positive distinctiveness of the individual. The two-day simulation and training have proven that the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Medicine, Padjadjaran University (Prodi IKFR FK UNPAD), has the potential to become a social identity for all academic communities, capable of encouraging individuals to cultivate their abilities, sense of belonging, cooperation, and good curiosity. This can only happen in a setting of task interdependence. Based on the research results, it is recommended that all relevant parties in the Prodi IKFR FK UNPAD create a space and an atmosphere of task interdependence in both the learning process and practical work. The implications of this research result in the application of cooperative learning models and learning strategies using the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) in the Prodi IKFR.
