Jumat, 5 Oktober 2018, Program Studi Psikologi Pendidikan Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia menyelenggarakan kuliah umum dengan tema “Pentingnya Kolaborasi Orang Tua dan Guru dalam Pendidikan di Era Revolusi Industri 4.0”, bertempat di ruang Auditorium Sekolah Pascasarjana UPI. Seminar yang dibuka oleh Dr. Tina Hayati Dahlan, M.Pd, Psikolog selaku Ketua Prodi Psikologi Pendidikan SPs UPI dihadiri 74 peserta yang berasal dari mahasiswa S1 Departemen Psikologi UPI, dosen Prodi Psikologi Pendidkan SPs dan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan UPI, guru SLB, guru PAUD, serta mahasiswa dan alumni Prodi Psikologi Pendidikan SPs UPI.

Kuliah umum ini menghadirkan pembicara, Prof. Dr. Juke Roosjati Siregar, M.Pd, Psikolog, pakar pendidikan keluarga dari Universitas Padjajaran Bandung, yang memaparkan topik tentang “Pentingnya Kolaborasi Orang Tua dan Guru dalam Pendidikan di Era Revolusi Industri 4.0”. Prof. Dr. Juke menyampaikan bahwa pembentukan karakter peserta didik yang signifikan adalah dimulai dari keluarga dan sekolah. Beliau juga menyampaikan bahwa perkembangan anak akan baik jika terjadi kolaborasi antara rumah dan sekolah; dan lingkungan harus selalu membimbing karena segala kebaikan telah ada pada diri anak secara lahiriah.

Lebih lanjut, beliau memaparkan bahwa tipe-tipe kolaborasi orang tua dan guru yang efektif diterapkan pada masa revolusi industri 4.0 sekarang ini yaitu dalam bentuk parenting, communicating, volunteering, learning at home, decision making, dan collaborating with the community.

Salah seorang peserta seminar yang merupakan guru SD dan juga sebagai mahasiswa Prodi Psikologi Pendidikan SPs UPI, Syara, menuturkan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat, selain kaya dengan teori pendidikan, pemaparan Prof. Dr. Juke pun dinilai sangat praktis dan mudah dipahami sehingga para guru dan orang tua sangat terbantu dalam penanganan peserta didik baik di sekolah maupun di rumah.
